I receive the Catholic Digest and each month there are thoughts for that month. I came across a few that I really liked.
One of them is from the Venerable FULTON SHEEN. A lot of us older folks remember his TV show years ago, Everyone listened. He had this to say about the ROSARY. “The Rosary is the book of the blind, where souls see and there enact the greatest drama of love the world has ever known; it is the book of the simple, which initiates them into mysteries and knowledge more satisfying than the education of other men; it is the book of the aged, whose eyes close upon the shadow of this world, and open on ” by the way, real men do say the rosary. That’s from me.
Now, I know a lot of people don’t understand our know how to pray the rosary. One day, when I can, I will explain the power of the rosary and why we say it, but I just thought his words were very wise.
Pope Pius Xll, “We do not hesitate to affirm again publicly that we put great confidence in the Holy Rosary for the healing of evils of our times.”
St. Teresa of Avila, “To have courage for whatever comes in life–everything lies in that.”
Sirach 4:28 “Even to death, fight for what is right, and the Lord will do battle for you.”
OK, I will leave you with this one from Blessed John Paul ll
“MARRIAGE IS AN ACT OF WILL THAT SIGNIFIES AND INVOLVES A MUTUAL GIFT, WHICH UNITES THE SPOUSES AND BINDS THEM TO THEIR EVENTUAL SOULS, WITH WHOM THEY MAKE UP A SOLE FAMILY–A DOMESTIC CHURCH.”
