CHRISTMAS IS ALMOST HERE AND WE MUST GET READY. IF WE KNEW JESUS WAS COMING TO OUR HOUSE TO VISIT ON CHRISTMAS EVE, WHAT WOULD WE DO DIFFERENT?
ADVENT. THIS IS A WAY TO PREPARE OUR SOULS FOR JESUS BIRTH, WHAT CAN WE DO DIFFERENT DURING THE NEXT 4 WEEKS. PRAY? BE MORE FORGIVING? GENEROUS? KIND? Just asking, it is up to all of you to decide for yourselves, how to get ready.
1. SUNDAY, NOV. 30 was the 1st Sunday of Advent.
2. SUNDAY, DEC. 2 was the 2nd Sunday.
At a certain point in life, the profound desires and cravings of our heart reach a point of eruption in us. Yet at the same time comes the awareness that we cannot bring about what we want-we do not have inside us what is needed to fulfill and satisfy our longings. And so, with our infinite yearnings we turn to the Infinite and cry, “Oh, that you would rend the heavens and come down.” Our experience of helplessness before the fact of our boundless human need moves us to ask for fellowship with God’s Son, Jesus Christ the Lord. The nature of our desire assures us as we enter into ADVENT that we are not lacking in any spiritual gift as we wait for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ. “The Lord of the house is coming.” “Be watchful! Be alert!” (Magnificat.)

PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, you are with us always, even to the end of the world, yet we do not always know your presence. Free us from whatever hinders you from taking full possession of our inner house and our outer world by the power of your Spirit, you who live and reign for ever and ever. Amen
