IN GOD WE TRUST

This blog is for my friends, Mark, Ron, John.

FACT: OUR MONEY STATES:  “IN GOD WE TRUST”

FACT:  THE GENERATION that fought the 2nd World Was is called “THE GREATEST GENERATION” and they were so grateful to God for winning the war that they added: “UNDER GOD” to the Pledge of Allegiance in the 50’s

FACT;  FACING EAST on the top of the Washington Monument is inscribed  “LAUS DEO” or “PRAISE BE TO GOD”  this was inscribed in 1884 only a short time after the Constitution was written and the Bill of Rights added.

FACT;  in the 1st World War, the Germans and the Allies declared a truce that lasted all through Christmas Eve.

FACT; if one were to search hard enough, one would find a pole done in the 40’s or 50’s that stated that 80percent of Americans said they were Christian.

FACT;  THE Puritan’s came here to get away from Religious Persecution, which indicates they were religious.

FACT;  THE THREE SHIPS THAT SAILED into Jamestown were named after Saints.

FACT;TEXT OF THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE in 1776;  …………………………….”THE SEPARATE AND EQUAL STATION TO WHICH THE LAWS OF NATURE AND OF NATURE’S GOD ENTITLE THEM,…etc.

There are plenty more facts but that seems to lead to only one conclusion:

CONCLUSION: THIS COUNTRY WAS founded on the Christian Principles of Love, Hope, Forgiveness, Respect  and this was carried forward at least until “Under God” was added to the Pledge in the 1950’s.

Opinion:  When I read the book “DUMBING DOWN OF AMERICA” in the 1980’s I had no idea that Progressivism  was designed to deny generations of children the history of the founding of this Country, that actually made this Country unique.   The fact that         ” PRAISE BE TO GOD” is on top of the Washington Monument facing East and was placed there in 1884 would seem to back up the fact that this country was based on Christian Principles.  My opinion only based on the conclusion above.

I don’t really understand why anyone would object to the Christian Principles taught by Christ Himself:  Love, forgiveness, hope, respect.  And the 10 Commandments which require Respect, Love, and Peace.  And the Commandment Jesus gave to His Disciples : “Love God, Love your neighbor as yourself.   The question is why?
